Behind The Ear (BTE)
BTE hearing aids are the most versatile. They fit behind the ear, and the earpiece goes into the ear. They work with any kind of hearing loss and offer the wearer more options than any other type of hearing aid available.

Receiver In the Canal (RIC)

These are similar to BTE hearing aids, but they’re more discreet. They place the microphone behind the ear and the speaker directly in the ear canal. They’re versatile, discreet, and are the most popular hearing aids on the market.

Full Shell or In The Ear (ITE)

Full shell hearing aids are molded specifically to the shape of the wearer’s outer ears. They’re easy to use for people who can’t see well or whose hands don’t work very well, and they have external controls.

Half Shell or In The Canal (ITC)

Half shell hearing aids are more discreet, but they don’t go completely into the ear canal. They sit in the lower portion of the outer ear and have external controls, much like full shell hearing aids.

Completely In the Canal (CIC)

These fit completely in the ear canal and allow the outer ear to naturally shape the sound that enters the hearing aid.

Nano/Invisible In the Canal (IIC)

Nano hearing aids are virtually invisible. They slide down into the ear canal and are the most discreet hearing aids on the market.
